I’ve just realised that I didn’t post about my Open Studios experience. It was a while ago now, but I enjoyed doing it. It wasn’t as busy as I would have liked but a few people came to see me and I loved spending time in my studio. I also made a few sales which is always good!
My studio, however, is still not finished. We hit a snag when Steven lost his job 6 weeks or so ago. The studio still needs the walls and ceiling finishing off and we need to add some cupboards along the back wall. We also need to get a drain cover custom made so that the floor can be tiled.
Here are a few photos taken the night before Open Studios started:
It doesn’t look quite like that now – I’ve put all the display pieces away, other than those in the cabinets, so that they don’t tarnish. It is very handy having everything nicely organised though!
Since Open Studios finished I have been working hard on lots of new tutorials (which can be seen in my Etsy and Payhip stores), plus a couple more for Bead & Jewellery Magazine, and planning some beading workshops which I will tell you all about in my next post…
