If you love beadwork of all kinds, tutorials, kits, jewellery components, cabochons or other beady stuff, then you’ve come to the right place!
My name is Donna and I am a beadwork designer, artist and tutor. I enjoy creating beautiful, one of a kind pieces of jewellery and art but the main part of my business is designing and producing beading tutorials and kits. I work from the home I share with my husband and son in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire supervised by our cat, Orion and two leopard geckos.
I opened my first Etsy store in 2012 (Delicate Sparkles) selling both tutorials and finished pieces but soon decided to split them and opened a second store in 2013 (Beady Notions by Delicate Sparkles) to sell the tutorials, along with artisan polymer clay cabochons and beads.
I design, write and photograph all the tutorials myself so you won’t find them anywhere other than my Etsy and Payhip stores except for those that have previously been published in magazines (stated where applicable) and as CD collections that I supply to Stable Lodge Beads for them to sell at fairs.
I have always enjoyed anything creative and have dabbled in most crafts but beading is the one I have stuck with the longest, although I have progressed from the basic earrings and stringing that I started with in the early 90’s, to mostly beadweaving and bead embroidery now. Almost anything can be incorporated into a mixed media piece and I love to find new ways of adding non-beady items to my beadwork.
I love to see photos of any pieces completed from my tutorials, or featuring my cabochons and you can send them to me via social media or email. I’m also happy to help out online if you get stuck with anything (not that you should, but you never know).
