It’s been a while since I last posted but I’ve been really busy with lots of exciting things while I’ve been away!
I have a couple more projects for Bead Magazine, due out early next year so had to get those written up and photographed. I was also chosen to be part of Beads Direct’s Design Team and had to work on a design for them too. You can read all about their new team here.
As if that wasn’t enough to keep me busy, I decided to chart some new peyote patterns to make some tealight candle covers for the Something Wonderful – Artisan Craft & Gift Fairs Christmas Fair next month.
It’s a new venture for me, along with some of my crafty friends, where we get together for an online fair, each showing some of our products together in an album that people can view, and then buy from when the event is live. It’s early days but I’m hoping it will take off and be a good place to sell our handmade items. It’s the perfect chance for some Christmas gift shopping if you’d like to pop along!
Once I’d designed and stitched the tealight covers I was asked if I would be selling a tutorial for them. I hadn’t planned to but once I started thinking about it I thought maybe I could do a few other Christmas projects too and turn them into an E-book. So I did! It took a LOT of work over about a month or so, and I’m sure my family and friends were bored to tears hearing about it, but I finally published it yesterday and have already had my first sale. It’s currently on special offer for a limited time so, if Christmas beading is your thing, now might be a perfect time to purchase it. ‘A Beaded Christmas’ is available here and features 10 beautiful projects for your Christmas tree, home or to give as gifts. Here are just a few of them:
So now things have calmed down here a little, I’m hoping to be able to post more often. In between beading some more Christmassy things for the fair, of course.
